Ach, those power on switches are always really dodgy....!

I've been known to forget to put the battery in, never mind the SIM card.

I feel old occasionally, but then I forget why, so all is still well!

Am not hugely old (37 is still Three Whole Years Away from Forty), but the other day I saw a cousin who was at my wedding who aged me badly. She toddled up to give me a little embroidered bell and was almost too nervous to hand it to me. She's now taller than me!

The only time in our lives when we want to be old is when we are kids. Kids count in fractions. "How old are you?" "I'm four and a half"! No-one is ever thirty six and a half.

Then you reach your teens and start to really jump ahead. "I'm gonna be 16". She's probably only 13, but she will be 16 one day!

Then the best day of your life. You become 21! Yesss!

But then what happens? You turn 30. Ooh, just like sour milk - he turned - we had to throw him out - he's no fun....

Then suddenly you're pushing 40 - where are the brakes? You reach 50 and your dreams have disappeared.

You make it to 60 - you didn't think you would. By now you've built up so much speed you hit 70.

You make it into your 80's and every day is a complete cycle: you make it to breakfast, you hit lunch, you reach bedtime....

Then into your 90's, and you try to start going backwards: "I was just 92".

Then a funny thing happens; you become a little kid again: "I'm a hundred and a half!"

May you all make it to a healthy hundred and a half!
