I saw 10 minutes of last week's programme and thought it was patronising in the extreme! I really resent being spoken to as if I am a 'not very bright' 8 year old. I didn't bother this week and shan't in the future.

      Beechgrove should replace GW nationally.

From all these comments BB it sounds like a real turn off, so I'm really not going to bovver with it!

I watched both episodes as I just like watching gardening shows really... but it certainly isn't my fave!! I think episode two was slightly better than episode one. Anyway I shall continue to watch them on the computer when I have a lazy half hour.

I enjoy gardener's world. I watch the ones on horticultural channel also.

The best by far and what I thoroughly enjoy is Beechgrove Garden. Well worth watching!! I love the format and seeing plant and other trials and also like the personalities of the presenters. It is available to everyone on bbc iplayer for a week after it has played (on a monday night). If any of you haven't seen it yet it is really easy to watch on iplayer. I always increase the zoom level of my screen to 125% so it's easier to see too

                    It was crap.

A handful of tips but nothing that was of any real use to anyone in the real world. Seems he just went to a couple of peoples gardens, says how nice they are, tells you look you can do this as well, but fails to mention how, when and with what money?
Then his 5 tips basically involved going to a garden centre and buying things, none of them cheap either. Total waste of time.

I'm no fan of Monty Don but in comparrison GW was so much better and more informative.

I was re-watching some of my Geoff Hamilton DVDs and they should of done something like he used to do. A 6 part series, starting with a blank plot and showing you step by step how to create a finished garden.

Found Beechgrove on Sky 971 as said Monday 7:30pm set to record with series link but haven't watched today's yet. Did have to scroll through some very "adult" channels in the 900s. Assuming Beechgrove isn't going to have that sort of content!
