Well, I was going to ask that question, but thought I'd be boo'd off-stage!
Glad to know it was nothing to write home about. My step-daughter lives just outside Christchurch, NZ, and is still having a terrible time. Just last night they had a 6 pointer "after-shock" which dislodged ceiling tiles and light-fittings at the bank where she works!
They just seem to accept it and carry on as normal. I swear I'd be on the next plane outta there or just stay under a table! When the Devil gives you Cowpats - make Satanic Compost!

I have experiences a few mild earthquakes and they are very unsettling and I dread to think what the biggies must be like.
In Zante (greek island) they get them regulary. The first was at night, tucked up in bed and I wondered who was banging at the door. I then realised the bed was shaking. It was over before I clicked what was happening. The 2nd that holiday we were in a bar and only just felt it - not the same for one of our friends who was sat on the loo at the time he he he he
We then had one here a couple of years ago, in the middle of the night and it was strong enough to rattle the HUGE mirror which is bolted very securely onto the wall!Tammy x x x x
