    I'd suggest, as above like the others have said either an ad-blocker for FFx, or look into something like ad-aware that'll add a "blacklist" of hosts to a local config file that'll stop them loading..

    Must be firefox 2's way of handling some code to position that advert. Must say though, it's no where near the top on mine - it's at the bottom of the screen.

        Do you have facebook open on another tab as it regularly does this to me. Usually it's a plugin container that has crashed but freezes up whatever tab you happen to be in too while it falls over.

              You can press F11 - it takes out everything at the top - press it again to get the adress bar etc back again!
              Life is too short for drama & petty things!

                Alas- not on FB- but usually about 5 other tabs open at the same time!
