  • One for the Geeky Types

Don't try to pretend you're not out there, I've just been reading about Google ads !

My mobile phone died today, I am bereft. <bowed head with hat in hands emoticon> All my contacts were stored on the phone memory, not to mention all sorts of useful data.<stifled sobbing>
However, it is only the screen that has died, all the rest still works. <throwing hat in air with delight emoticon>
So, does anyone here know where I would get a replacement AMOLED 2.2 inch screen for a Samsung Emporio Armani m7500 mobile phone ? I have googled and cannot find anyone...if I can find a supplier, I know a man who can fit it !
Please, don't break my Aberdonian heart and make me buy a new phone.

Loads on eBay, just search samsung 7500 screen.

If you don't have an eBay account, let me know, and I'll get it for you.

I may, however, be an eBay addict....

I spent all that time typing in Emporio Armani - typing it wrong every single time - being careful with the AMOLED all in capitals - and all I had to do was the basics !
I was all set to be disappointed because all that was coming up was for the Galaxy i7500, but then I put the "m" in front and now I know who to contact in HK. Ta G4 ! (I may just take you up on your offer, being more of a postal order kind of guy.)

A wonderful idea indeed Taff, except that I can't find the damn cable - practically unique to this make and model of course - and I not only don't have a new Samsung phone, but I also had such epic problems getting that...lovely... software to work when I got the phone, that I uninstalled it as a waste of space. Two house moves and a wee bit homelessness later...where's the CD ?
            Aha !
et me know if you can't find it...
<light bulb goes on above head>
I wonder if I can download it from the internet ? By golly, I do believe I might manage to get the hang of this techy typeness...

yup, the only reason to move your stuff from phone to computer is that there's another place you can worry about losing your stuff from

Another way for the not to techy types to back phone numbers up is to copy all numbers to the sim card, assuming you don't have hundreds of no's stored in your phone, that way you lose only a bit of info like surnames possibly. Does not help you when the screen is knackered but is good practice going forward...

More often than not the phone cover/addon stalls in markets etc will repair screens. As above, ebay is probably your best bet.. but it'd be wise to back the phone up before you get it repaired incase they break it further!
