      I've heard them called armpits before... BUT we did buy the person who we heard it from a sub to GYO... This was before we were into growing fruit + veg!

        So, Paulottie is responsible for coining the phrase. Good bit of detective work that Zaz, you partnering up with Nicos as the new Cagney and Lacey? The only place I call them armpits is on here, but never hairs, yeuk.

          Sideshoots here as well . Took me a while to figure out what on earth you guys were talking about the first time I saw 'armpits' in a thread title in the veg board (and I didn't dare ask because I just knew it would be something simple - like, urmmm, sideshoots ).
