Never having encountered the name, I always called those 'water cubes'. I want one for a grey-water tank in Spain (too bulky to take out of course, and expensive to buy. I sometimes see them looking abandoned, but if I took one you can bet an owner would appear!).
It's a cubic metre = 1,000 litres, and a very useful size!
