Starts getting lumpy today. I reckon Mr Contador will start to grab back some of his deficit in the next few days, and be up near the top of the board again.
I just wish I could watch it and adore it without the sick feeling I have in the pit of my stomach that there will be controversy again by the end.

Ooohh ooohh I forgot, have a great day Mr and Mrs Scarey, and make sure you are properly happy on Champagne!!

I heard the Sky rumour as well, but I reckon if he does go, he would only do so if he was guaranteed the support he gets now. He's an out and out sprinter, he's still young so will probably improve and I can honestly see him being the all time leading stage winner before he finishes. Any team that takes him would have to guarantee him the support he already gets from Renshaw et al at HTC.

Watched very brief highlights last night, good effort from Rui Costa to hold on. Not sure if was me but I thought Contador looked a little tired a couple of times?

I'm not liking it now: broken bones, cars smashing into riders ... it's like riding round my town

Sure, it's "entertainment" but ... can we have fewer riders, fewer cars, fewer hazards please

Yeah, it got a bit sickening today. Poor old Johnny Hoogerland, not to mention all the others.

He's been hoofed off the tour but needs more than that. Was sickening to watch Hoogerland go a over t into that barbed wire fence. Incredibly one of the two said there was nobody to blame, it was an accident and at least nobody died (memories of WW I guess).
Saw Millar yesterday saying it was the scariest crash he'd ever seen, carnage was his word.

Johnny's had 33 stitches today. It was him that said he didn't blame anyone. What an incredibly generous gesture under the circumstances - takes a big, big man to do that. Chapeau, Johnny.

I've been off the pace over the past couple of days and only just caught up with the coverage of this.
I am on my own in the house but I cried "Oh my God" out loud and put my hand to my mouth That was so shocking! As you said MBE, hats off to Johnny it takes a big man indeed! Not sure I would be so generous.

Sky have said that they may sue after their rider, Flecha was whacked. Team boss of Sky said they will gather evidence and make a decision. For Hoogerland to say it was nobody's fault is stretching the bounds of sportsmanship a touch I think. Very sporting to say it but really nobody's fault????

Just heard on the radio, first positive drugs test of the tour. Guts me every time, even though I know its going to happen.
