Not even with the keyboard? Try Ctrl + A to select all, then Ctrl + C to copy, and paste to a word doc with Ctrl + V. It works on all the pdf's I have in my files.

Get a Mac, Spongey - they automatically read them!

If you have no luck with Scarey, I'm happy to give it a go for you.

This is the way I've always done it. Thing is it puts a paragraph in at the end of each line so the best thing to do would be to get Scarey or Scared or G4 to do it.

I'd print it off, scan it and send to word.

Cheers all once again. Mr Scarey was my gallant knight in shining armour and sorted it for me. I refer to the original problem as I still havent got a clue what he said by way of explanation, all I know is that now its here on my desktop in the office and I'm editing away to my hearts content.

Glad it's working for you, as I said, sorry it is still a bit scruffy.
The problem was that it is a scanned document and, as such was a whole picture and not individual words. We did almost as Patchninja said but we didn't have to re-scan it, just changed it to a .tiff file and ran it through the ocr (optical character recognition, Bob ) and into word.

Ha! That's probably the most complex way of sending/distributing a file ever. I suppose it lends itself to not being easy to edit (unless you have the correct tools, as Scary evidently has). Well done anyway!
