  • Be careful what you wish for!

Earlier today it was so hot that I couldn't be outside for more than about 30 minutes at a time. I wished that the storm would arrive and bring some much needed water for the garden - I didn't reckon on this

We had hail on Saturday - not that big though! It was bouncing back up me trouser legs!

Ouch! it really stings when it hits you doesn't it? Luckily it wasn't as bad as it was at my friend's house (about 30k from me) her hailstones were about 3 times the size of mine and it completely decimated her garden and made pulp out of her tomatoes

I read yesterday that at the start of the Tour in Aurillac they had (probably) the same hailstorm. And apparently it hurt!!

's ok, it's lovely and sunny again today

Where abouts are you going? if you're anywhere near us, pop in for coffee and, if it's hailing again, we have a spare bed, you can stay overnight.

Ouch! Poor you. Glad the sun is back .

A few years ago I was wishing for rain but this wasn't quite what I had in mind:

To put this into perspective, we're half way up a hill and that's the gravel path in the back garden the rocking horse is floating around Flash flood down hill was the cause.

                          Oh, now THAT's rain
Happened to my friend here a couple of years ago and her entire garden was flooded like that and she lost all her veggies

You are a lovely, kind Scarey! We're spending a night at St Nectaire then a night at Vic-sur Cère then off towards Sarlat in the Perigord. I have made sure that the bung is firmly attached to the bed
