Thanks everyone. The week did get worse, but just stupid silly things, like the vet saying we hadn't paid when we had.

And, just now, someone arrived to collect my table and chairs. You know, the ones on Freecycle? Errr...No? Um, yes, you're giving them away? No, no, I'm not. Surreal. Then we discovered that she had the street name and house number right, but she was in the wrong village completely.

Nope. Seems not. We lost two chicks this morning. A dog we've never seen before cameinto the garden through our gate, left open by the neighbour's kid visiting without permission. Before we could fend it off, it had tossed one chick down onto concrete and the other got bitten and died soon afterwards.

I've no idea who's Staffie type thing it is. It disappeared, but we let the police know anyway. There was no collar. We spoken to the neighbours about their child too, she should only visit when asked in future.

I am really cheesed off now. Bet my blumin' creme brulee doesn't work either....
