Aw thanks for the well wishes......we had a fantastic day . Ok it rained a little at lunchtime but even so there was loads of visitors . The cold frames started the day off full to overflowing with fruit and veg but finished the day pretty much empty apart from some apples. Even our Wal (89) brought along a huge sack of cooking apples saying his ladder was long enough so he'd had to climb into the tree to get them . the tables with jams , pickles , honey cakes etc started off the day groaning and everything bar a jar of pickle sold. All the ploughmans lunches, cream teas and hot dogs sold ....Lots of people tried a taster of PW's french black and were pleasantly surprised cos they thought they looked wrong being black !!!! The whole day was just fantastic. Then we had a picnic in the evening with far too much food, ginger beer and elderflower champagne ....The only disaster of the day was that while we had all gone home to get changed and fetch supplies for the evening , the wind took our big gazebo/party tent and bent the poles and ripped the cover (even tho' it was well anchored ) but lucklily it didn't happen during the day .

Its so nice reading about the fantastic day you had Binley. Sounds like a lot of people put a lot of effort in and that a great time was had by all. Sorry that I didnt visit this thread beforehand to wish you luck and sorry that I couldnt make it along, but it sounds like it was great fun. Well done!!
