one fig, one kiwi and two red goosberries. I met a man there, so we searched at the same time for what the other was looking for, and artfully re-arranged all the boxes so we could look in the ones at the back on the bottom. Yay teamwork! [no, I didn't know him....]

Hmm...already have a Brown Turkey in the garden tree seat and a White Marseille in the GH. looking for something different. If anyone knows the variety would appreciate them posting it.

Went to one this morning, got 2 each of Blueberries, Kiwis and Grapes. Will grow in pots and see how they fare and plant out in the autumn.

Cheers Jo. Flippin star you are.

Turkeys liked to eat them supposedly although I lived in Turkey for a while and out there figs grow like weeds. The flesh is a russet coppery colour hence the brown I suppose. They are considered only fig for outdoor UK climate although mine gets wrapped in winter.

No idea on the variety - that's why I thought I'd just get two of each to be on the safe side.

                            Hello.

How are these things packaged? I only have a rucksack, so I can only buy these if they come enclosed in a box. Or maybe I could tie a cardboard box onto my rack...

Thanks in advance of any info!

In a pot with a plastic wrapping - you could easily shove 6 into a backpack just make sure that the bottom is lined.

Yes, they could go in a polytunnel

Good, cos even though I've got sunny, fairly sheltered spots, I doubt they would survive a northern coastal winter!!
