Kind of yes. Have included "the flexibility of working from home on occasion".

I'd go in with Weekly so that they can downgrade to Occasionally.

Oh I agree - but this end of construction is right at ground level (civil engineering and concrete structures), so in theory will be one of the first out. Thing is, this company are making plans for growth when that does come about - unlike the company that made me redundant.

Either option will be better than the situation I'm in now - so it's win/win in theory.

When speaking to one of the dude's "unofficially" after the meeting (he's an ex-colleague) he suggested the day a week thing, so it is being considered. Said that the boss is very flexible - we'll see I guess.

From my limited experience I find Women bosses to be far more flexible than men. I think its to do with having one less rib.

Which leads me on to part of the attraction of the other job, my own pretty young assistant sat right outside my office. She is "blooming" under tutorship - which they think I can continue.

However, as potential boss No 2 said yesterday - pretty assistants can be a distraction...

It's looking unsteady on job No2 presently - their counter offer isn't all that attractive unfortunately. Looking like the decision has been made for me....

I would say that it was indicative of the market, they want all the best players in readiness for the pick up, but don't want to over egg the pudding.

I'm sure I can think of a few more metaphors if I had to.....

Which one were you favouring anyway?

This would have been my favourite job if comparing apples with apples, but when factoring everything in, the other job wins at the moment on a technicality.
