Following on from yesterday's jibbering post regarding handing in my notice, I am pleased to say I have now done the deed.
My boss (soon ex) is totally understanding (how I expected/hoped he be) and sympathises with my reasons (he shares many of them). He said he'd be doing the same thing if he was in my position.
When the position was advertised they were looking for a marketing manager, but over the last 10 months it has become clear that they are not ready yet, and in fact they could get someone in with less experience, pay less and build them up. I am being wasted here, and they are not getting true value from me as an employee (my words).
I feel much better now, and can look forward to my new job (start date yet to be confirmed).
Thanks for all your messages yesterday - in hindsight I was being a wooss.
Now it's time for me to pay back some of those hugs, back slaps, hair ruffles.....
Who's first?
