Still nothing, if postie doesnt bring anything tomorrow (my day off), then I will be ringing them to see whats going on, or is that a bad idea? Dont want to seem too pushy, but need to know, have got my resignation written on the puter ready to send! lol!
When we do interviews here, I have to tell the candidate at the end of the interview when to expect a telephone call to let them know if they have been successful. If I can't do that at the allotted time (which has never happened I might add) I would have to telephone them to explain why and confirm another time. I also have to telephone to let them know if they've been unsuccessful and offer feedback. Give them a ring Mrs D, if they haven't made a decision already, it might prompt them into doing so.
Here's hoping the postman brings you good news today.
The only thing that bothers me is that you told him you had been invited to the assessment centre - if I was appointing to my store, and you told me that, I MAY be cautious about appointing you because I could face losing you to a higher position (albeit with the same company) at a different location because I'd expect you still to attend the assessment. So if it was a close run thing with two equally brilliant candidates I'd err on the side of caution and appoint someone who hadn't said that to me.
Sometimes it's better not to be too frank at interview I find, however friendly people are.
That said I'm sure you'll get good news this morning, you are obviously perfect for the role, as always it just depends who you are up against.
"Those who expect nothing are never disappointed". Don't quite know whether that's a good attitude or not, it's like the glass half full thing. Wanders off muttering to self .....
Just rang the personnel manager now, they had the final interviews scheduled for last Thursday, but one of the attendees had an accident on the way, so they are interviewing them tomorrow, and should have an answer for me shortly. He said 'Dont worry, its nothing bad, I will be in touch with an answer shortly!' Was apologetic about not having rung with a courtesy call, but they have been mad busy with a director visiting the store.
So, still dont know yet, still on tenterhooks, nerves getting frazzled! Lol!

Fingers crossed. But you were in the right, and as was said, they should have rung and kept you up to date! Even if this doesn't turn out how you want, stay confident. Remember they're lucky to get you!
To see a world in a grain of sand
And a heaven in a wild flower
Well, the personnel manager is back in tomorrow, so I may get a call tomorrow, or he may send out letters, which could arrive Weds or Thurs, with any luck! Part of me thinks with this delay it must be bad news, but Im still hoping that its going to be good news, then I can hand in my resignation and look forwards to a fresh start with a new company!
Thanks all for the best wishes, comments and support, it has been very much appreciated!
