Would you get your caravan on the plane?

Its one of those exotic names (for me anyway) from when I was a kid.
Damascus, Zanzibar, tales of the Arabian Nights and all that. It will be a proper beach holiday for her, which will bore me to tears but will make her happy) and somewhere else I've not been ticked off the list.

Cheers for the link btw G4.

How romantic you are Bob. I keep telling Himself I married the wrong man. Trouble is, he wholeheartedly agrees with me.

Carry your bags mister? Sounds wonderful although you could have a proper hot holiday in the Auvergne at the moment and save money too!

Visited briefly in the mid seventies. Fantastic smells from the fields of cloves. It was not a touristy place at that time but I believe that it is very different now.

Cheers BB and oldie, its personal experiences from peeps wot I trust (you lot) that mean more than internet recommendations. No tourist organisation worth their salt is going to say its carp and stick rubbish photo's up to try and sell a place to you.

On the romantic side of life, er I'm not. At all. There is a totally altruistic reason for me taking Mme P to all these places, and that is cos I want to go. I have a target of visiting every country in the world before I shuffle off this mortal coil, hence short city breaks where possible, and lucky for Mme P she is my laydee so she gets to share. Nothing romantic about me.

I also use Trip Advisor TS and write reviews for it. Agreed its very good, however not too many Brits been to Zanzibar, and North Americans appear to have much different ideas about travelling than I do.

Oh yes, don't they think Englandshire is tiny and backward? We were trapped in a pod on the Eye with teenage Americans. The girl said "oh look a plane ! Make a wish !"
                              we still snigger about it
