Might just be me, but it smells different out side. Early mornings don't have that 'promise of a lovely day ahead' fragrance, it's a slightly mistier chilled smell now. I wear perfume every day and, subconciously, I've stopped reaching for the fruity florals and started to go for the muskier heavier fragrances now.

And the sunsets seen from here

are truly stunning. Sadly, DD dropped her all-singing-all-dancing camera whilst in Scotland and it needs a new lens, so we can't take good pics just now.

Pauco - I also wish the swallows a safe journey and a good winter/summer
I feel very sad when they leave - I miss their high pitched squeal as they zoom about the sky.

If we're going to have the same weather as last winter we'll be using both quilts together.

Dark mornings, cold and windy days
Lots of leaves are turning now, and some are dropping, or have dropped!

I know what you mean Jules about the smell.... it's completely different to a summer morning smell. Sort of darker, and earthy

I could've done with a scarf and a pair of gloves today, out walking. Was right chilly and not even a breeze to blame.

It's definitely Autumn now - my little dog told me so when she got into bed with me last night

Aaawwwww RL - that's cute. Our bedroom door has a bolt on it (both sides), as Oscar takes up all the bed now, and it's king size!
