We ended up with one of these that now lives tucked away in the back of a cupboard. It doesn't get used very often, but it's quite good.
There are three circular blades, the one with the biggest holes has a bit that sticks out, and locks into the plastic bit. One of the other two blades fits to the outside, and is held on with a wingnut. The handle comes off for storage.
The only negative is that the plastic/rubber base doesn't lock onto textured worktops very well - better if the surface has been wiped with a wet cloth.
Mincers can be quite difficult to hold still, especially if you're doing bit chunks of meat, so maybe one that clamps onto the edge of a worktop would be a better idea if Mrs PTD suffers with "arthur rightious"?
if you can find one of those old square ice cream tubs, it fits in there perfectly, once it's all dissambled.
Quite good for chopping things up for chutney too I found last year, especially green tomatoes and onions.
{I haven't got a wham bam mixer thingy, i do want one, but i didn't find one at a price i wanted to pay or one small enough to go in the kitchen]
