Have you got any other jobs lined up? What sector was it in? My place have completed a reorg, internal vacancies are there which will no doubt go out to the public when they're not filled... I.T. Wise.

No other jobs lined up. This was in an engineering company and it was quality assurance admin.
I'm not up on I.T. I know my way around a pc but not sure about networking pc's but would sure love to learn.

Yes, I always find that moment of stretching myself across the desk and asking, "Do you want a happy finish ?" a bit awkward, especially with a bad back !

Seriously though, the law of selling says the more interviews you fail at, the more likely it is that you will succeed at one. It's being stuck on the bottom rung and never getting interviews that is the bad news.

Keep on trying, you're obviously part of the way there.

Awww tough luck Steve. Good idea to get feedback, but don't forget what one company thinks is a fault another may see as an asset.
