After almost two years of waiting for funding and assessment results OH has finally gone into surgery this morning for DBS (Deep Brain Stimulation) surgery to help with his Parkinson's Disease. If it works it will be a new lease of life for hm and all of us. I am seriously pooping myself and can't concentrate on anything. In need of positive vibes so I don't keep thinking of all the things that could go wrong, so wish I was there with him

Thinking of you both SR. My sister's partner has Parkinson's, so I know how good this will be for your OH when it's all over. Your OH will be fine. Be positive.
I know how you feel too, and the waiting is pants. The BH has had several ops on his spine and I felt bad enough then. Last year, we took my mother shopping in Cambridge whilst my Dad had bypass surgery and valve replacement in near by Papworth. Took her mind off it a teeny bit, but she was having kittens everytime one of our phones rang. He's fine by the way, irascible as ever, grumpy wotsit.

Thinking of you and really hope this treatment can offer you both some better times...it's a cruel disease to both the sufferers and those that love them.
