Selfraising, the last time Mr Frosty was in getting a new Shunt, there was a gentleman in getting the pacemaker thingy fitted. The difference it made to him was astounding. I saw him a few times before the surgery and his symptoms were severe, he used to lie on his arms to try and limit the shaking. Post surgery (within a couple of days) his symptoms had lessened. Best, bestest wishes.

Thanks FrostyFreckly, that's really encouraging. Went to visit OH today. He says apart from one hell of a headache he is fine. He said the worst bit was when they fitted the metal frame to his skull which was to keep his head still, they had to screw it into his skull and he did feel that a bitI feel better for seeing him as you imagine all sorts of things and wasn't quite sure what I would see but the incisions are in his hair so they won't be noticed and he then has two further holes with the electrode wires hanging out. My understanding is that these will eventually be channelled under the skin where they will be connected to the control device. The device is then programmed remotely through a computer until it has reached its optimum level and eventually OH will get a small 'remote control' so that he can manage it himself. It never ceases to amaze me, all this clever stuff that is going on.
