Well, I've just had a lovely thing.
At the end of each season, I usually divvy up the remaining seeds that I didn't use [the recently bought ones, these are]; and sell them on ebay as packs of 30 or 40; so 5 small packs of toms, plus 5 small packs of peppers - covering all the families etc etc. Enough for an allotment for a year. That sort of thing. I also bung in self saved seeds; when I have too many to swap. Self saved leeks, beetroot, parsnips have featured heavily in these packs
So, I sold a pack the other day, and within 2 minutes of selling, I had a message from a customer from last year saying that they had missed my auction, and was I doing any more as they bought from me last year and in their first year, their allotment was fantastic and everyone was impressed and it was my seeds that did it!
I obviously packaged up another batch for them and sold some to them pronto [at the original listed price], whilst telling them that they obviously are better gardeners than they give themselves credit for - but how lovely was that?
It gave me a warm glow deep down.
