Driving in an Earthquake and Tsunami

biy puzzled about a few things with that clip. It starts with what I assume is supposed to be the earthquake at the root of the problem but I understood that the earthquake was way out at sea and that the effects werent felt on land because of the distance involved. The power of nature is undeniable though but the end of the clip with the convenenient immersion in the floodwaters looks a bit contrived. Anyone else got doubts about it?

Creemteez, I haven't been in Bocastle but I purposefully visited Cockermouth about 6 weeks ago to try to get a perspective on the flooding that happened there in 2009. Floodwater levels have been marked on some of the buildings and there must have been a phenomenal amount of water which came down the main street and also from the rear of the buildings along the street which runs parallel with the river at that point. A huge amount of repair and replacement work has been done and the local population must be congratulated for having the resolve to come back from another disaster caused by the power of nature. There doesn't seem to have been much public exposure of this or indeed of Japan's recovery efforts after their flooding.

Was in Boscastle overnight earlier this year AP,would be hard to tell it ever happened they have done a top job with the cleanup & renovations, even down to rebuilding the cafe by the harbour,in fact if there were not a plaque you would swear it was the original one.
Think they should be just about finished in Madeira by now, they were just on the "last knockings" in the Funchal culverts as we left in February (almost a year after the flooding occurred)He who smiles in the face of adversity, has already decided who to blame
