  • "Happy Bug in soil"

Did anyone read the article in the Daily Express yesterday? It was basically saying that people who garden are happier! (Tell us something we don't already know!).
I think I've found the link......

Sounds good to me. I know I'm never happier than when I'm out and getting grubby.

Been pushing /chasing a lawnmower for the last two days DDL .Must have walked about 20 miles and I'm not complaining .Its good to get out and feel the sun on your face and the back of your neck.
Getting dirty - well thats a bonus .Isin't it?
There comes a point in your life when you realize who matters, who never did, who won't anymore and who always will. Don't worry about people from your past, there's a reason why they didn't make it in your future.

Beefy - you must have a big lawn, or did you drive your lawnmower instead of your big lorry?

                Am I the only one?
If I buy veg from a supermarket, I just prepare and cook them
If I use my own home grown veg, I seem to almost thank them??? and remember the days spent tending them...so much more thought goes into the process of preparing and cooking home grown! even eating them is a different feeling.
Is this a bad cse of 'show me a full moon and let me bark'

no your not the only one, we thank the chooks for their eggs too and its even worse eating your own animals. I think all gardeners are part pagan.

It's the same when you make wine. I never see a hedge I've got a crop from without thinking of it as a friend. Specially sloes and cherry plums - God's gift!

                          Me too Headfry and Flum.

Hedges I've picked from before I treat like old friends, and I have a real sense of discovery if I stumble across a new one.
