  • Blind Date (deaf and dumb too)

    Hi all,
I went on a blind date this weekend, and it reminded me why I don't do this! It was excrutiating
He was a mate of a mate's mate, and it didn't help that before the 'date' I was told he was "nice, just boring"....
Not kidding. He didn't even speak to me, or look at me, it was awful. Added to that the food was cold, expensive, and I couldn't even drown my sorrows afterwards because being a bloody Sunday in bloody England you couldn't get a drink after 10.30pm
    I'm over it now

what kind of friend is that to set you up with someone so incompatible don't let it put you off twosheds, you have to kiss a lot of frogs before you find a prince and you may have some fun along the way

Sympathy to you Two sheds, just look on it as a learning experience (but isn't it horrible when you waste time like that?)

Hope something better comes along soon for you.

How awful for you, perhaps he was shy (or just plain rude)? I agree with Serenity about the kissing of frogs though. I got there in the end!
Don't let it put you off, the next one will be better.

Maybe you've learned something Two Sheds. People have to have something in common to start with. All you knew about him was that he was boring. What did you think you would have in common .

From each according to his ability, to each according to his needs.

Is it still there? I remember getting something from there when I was at Uni in Hull in the 80's!
