        Hi guys

New on this but it made me smile when I saw Muddy Matches mentioned as my friend has just got together with someone of that site and they seem really happy - maybe internet dating is the way forward?!!

Hi fingersandthumbs, welcome to the vine; hope you find a comfy seat here, but I don't know if it's as good as Muddy Matches.
does anyone know if there have been any 'matches' on the vine?

Funny you should mention Internet dating. I had a quick look at Match.com, and have since been BOMBARDED with messages, which I can't read unless I hand over £20 a month. Ha ha. As if that weren't bad enough, seems they automatically take the £20 out of your bank account every month even when you've cancelled your contract, and there ain't a thing you can do about it either.

Oh dear... I just had a quick look at Muddy Boots (strictly out of curiosity - I'm not interested in a new relationship!!!) and got matched with a bloke whose main interest seemed to be shooting things! Perhaps not...

My heart going boom boom boom
"Hey" he said "Grab your things
I've come to take you home."

Well, an update. I didn't give up looking after my disastrous blind date, I got talking to someone online, and it was coincidence after coincidence...he was fairly local to me, and he knew a friend of my brother (kind of) and now, we are now together. It is all going really well, fingers crossed. Toes too!

Sometimes I think I'd like to meet someone, and then I think again. I really would like a soulmate, but having lived alone for some time and being fairly independent I wonder if I could cope with a full time relationship. I know they say there is someone for everyone of us, but where do you meet them? Chat rooms scare me, the local Divorced & Separated Club are known as the Sad and Desperate, and I work full time in a women only environment. Even on the lottie the men are either married or desperate, and I don't want that.
