We bought one a few years ago. LadyWayne wanted one as they had theirs taken away as kids.
LW trying to make fizzy milk and covering the kitchen in it might have had something to do with it.
Ours has sat in the cupboard for a couple of years now, having only used it a handful of times.A simple dude trying to grow veg. http://haywayne.blogspot.com/

Fizzy milk.....sheesh! I just spat coffee all over my keyboard and screen. That's hilarious, I can just picture it.

I had a Soda Stream in the nineties, but the concentrates weren't cheap then, and we always used far too much. The older two children were once caught pouring cherryade concentrate over their icecream!

Was it 2p back on bottles?
With regard to the SodaStream, everyone I know who bought one - used it until the cylinder ran out, then consigned it to a cupboard. I think I remember making ice-cream floats for the children with American Cream Soda.Attached FilesWe're the Sweeney, son - and we haven't had any dinner.

I'm sure it was 6p in the late 70s, but I could be wrong. We had builders in our street in 1977, and they always had loads of empties. They would also pay you 10p to get their order from the chip shop. I do remember that you could buy an awful lot of sweeties for a pop bottle or two, what with MoJos being 5 for 1p and Black Jacks and Fruit Salads two for 1p. There was a lovely sweet shop on the way home from school....The Pop-In on Northenden Road....Bliss! I once blew a whole birthday fiver in there. My mother went loopy!!

I want one like the pubs have, As I can never re-create JD & Coke at home to taste like it does in a pub...
Thought of buying a soda-stream for that purpose, but was advised otherwise.
