Me an' Mr.G an' the Dawg will be hauling the tin tent to the wilds of Wiltshire in a couple of weeks. Any suggestions for entertainment thereabouts? We will be staying slightly west of Trowbridge. Thanks in advance.

What do you like to do? There's lacock, the courts gardens in holt, Westonbirt arboretum(40 mins drive) bradford on Avon - lovely village and canal for walks. Bath is just 20 mins drive. Longleat (about 20 mins) if you like that kind of thing. And I'm 10 mins away if you fancy a cup of tea!
Well, himself will be on a training course, so me an' the Dog will be wanting to bimble around. I fancy Westonbirt - will have to check for dog admission. We went to Bath, several years ago, and did the tour, which we thoroughly enjoyed. Walks by a Canal sound fab. Thanks for that, Scarlet, greatly appreciated. I'm off for a quick G**gle.
Just remembered that when we went to BOA the tea shop was full, so we ended up in a coffee shop not far from it up a hill. It was called something like Ye Olde Worlde Coffee shop. The people in it were in stockings and smocks. Anyhoo, one of the best scones I've ever had.

That sounds fine, too!

I love to walk from the tithe barn in Bradford on Avon (some lovely shops there) along the river which then joins up to the canal on onto The Cross Guns for lunch. You can park your car in Bradford on Avon car park by the train station.
