  • My running stuff

As I had planned not to run today we went out for a curry last night, (it was still with me this morning!) - in addition to which I had a fair bit of alcohol (I don't normally drink on run eves).

So I was a bit surprised to find myself dressed for running an hour ago - how'd that happen!

Pleased to say I made in back in one piece and also managed all the runs (no pun!)

I'm half way into W3 of c25k - next week is gonna be scareeeeey

Noooo - my fair bit of alcohol was only three small glasses of wine - honest Gov

I prefer zero in my body the night before running even though I'm only running a tiny bit

Actually, talking of name changing, is that allowed Mods - could my name be slimmed down a little?

I think they ought to help you out Pisk. After all, boots were made for walking and you're running Coat on.

You're also doing rather well Chuck, keep it up

I'm doing the c25k - which is currently about 25 mins to include warm up/cool downs. The structure of the training suits my character because if I were to just run free-style I'd over-do it and just give up.

Today - my first wet (really wet) run and I loved it

The route I take (sadly out and back as no circuit around here for my times yet) was flooded along part of it, I was perfectly happy running through the puddles and grateful to the drivers that moved over so as not to splash me. Some of the lorry drivers appeared to take fun in splashing me - oh how I laughed!

Day one of week five was interesting - I'm afraid I broke the program because I went too far out and had a fair way to go to get back to base - so I continued to run when I should I have been finished - I really loved it and found I was able so hopefully I haven't broken anything!

I've signed up for this - I feel faint!!

Just confirms there's still a kid in all of us and also clearly in lorry drivers as well.

There comes a time when addiction kicks in and pain ceases to exist. You have clearly reached that point

Good luck with your run not that luck will be needed by the sound of it.
