  • Remember your Ferrero Rocher tomorrow....

    ...and the Brussels Sprouts!

    1) boil Brussels sprouts
    2) eat Ferrero Rocher whilst sprouts are cooking
    3) save wrappers
    4) melt chocolate whilst sprouts are cooling
    5) roll sprouts in melted chocolate
    6) wrap chocolate covered sprouts in Ferrero Rocher wrappers
    7) enjoy the delight on the children's faces tomorrow night

Fab idea. Apart from the fact that I wouldn't waste my lovely Sprouts on ghastly Children!

I think I'll eat all the chocolate and wrap parboiled sprouts in the silverpaper. Some kids are so greedy they'll stuff them down without looking (I hope). If not, my dogs will eat them - the sprouts not the kids!
Had to buy a bag of sprouts yesterday for the dogs - Morrisons have them Colin.

Don't worry Salome. My dogs have never tasted chocolate, doggy or human. As a treat they have sprouts, carrots and tonight's special - cauliflower leaves! The problem is that there is very little veg left for the compost bin.

                              Ooooh Piskie ....fantastic
                              lol!

Today is a green nail varnish day for me... tonight, when home from work, I will be dressing up as a witch (not much change from normal then ) when kiddies come knocking I answer door as an old lady witch!!!!!
"hello me dears, what have we earrr then"
guess you get the picture- but I do have to watch the very young kiddie winks - I really dont want to scare them too much.
Porch has green scary light bulb, I have an old beesom broom, Black witches outfit (I made) A huge pumpkin carved by Mr HF - fab job he did too. Looks really quite spooky and not what the children are expecting when they knock on my door!!! its all good fun and we have a good Halloween code where I live.....
Lit pumpkin - means its ok for kiddies to knock.
No pumpkin - means please dont call
This seems to work really well. I dont play this game with the older kids (not dressed up etc) they can take a hike and most certainly I dont give out pennies!
Mums/Dads look after the little ones which is good, and the kiddies have always been polite!
                              HAPPY HALLOWEEN!
