I use twitter for work Mikey - one of my clients actually makes dosh from it. And yes, HayWayne and I have been congaing for some time on Tweet and now others are joining us
Whats twitter, and why are you following each other around?
Is it like the conga?
There's 2 ways of using twitter. The first is to have peeps follow you and you just vent your life and goings on for them to read and interact with you about. The other is to follow many famous peeps vent about their lives and often interact with them. I'm more of the second one. I've had many a chat with the presenters from The Gadget Show, Lisa Gallagher the BBC weather girl, and the BBC F1 team to name a few.
The latest smartphones over the past couple of years allow twitter apps to be installed so you can have all updates in your twitter timeline show up on your phone in seconds after they occur.
Well yes there is that way too but Twitter was never intended as a business tool. Only due to its popularity have companies jumped on board with the majority using it to spam adverts. Not all i admit, but quite a lot. Twitter was and still is all about free speech for the individual.
People keep going on about it so I've had a look a few times and all I've found is inane ramblings that have no interest to me so I've gone away again. Am sure there must be interesting stuff on too but it was well hidden behind people telling me that they'd just made a cup of tea / what they were having for tea / been to the pub - why would anybody care?
Some of us live in the past, always talking about back then. Some of us live in the future, always planning what we are going to do. And, then there are those, who neither look behind or ahead, but just enjoy the moment of right now.
