  • Anyone using Office 2010?

Mac users - move along nothing to see here!

I'm just about to add it (I think) and would be grateful for any views

I use it. 'tis quite a bit different to "old" Office especially in French but I am getting used to it, slowly. Having said that, I don't use it that often so I don't get a lot of practice. I should think that a woman of your caliber will have it working with no trouble :-)

Have just upgraded at work and it's much better than 2007 which in my opinion was a step backwards. I quite like it although there are still a few things I can't find and the likes of page numbering in word was definitely easier in older versions. What are you using at the moment? If it's 2007 then don't hestitate to upgrade, at least print is easy to find on 2010

Some of us live in the past, always talking about back then. Some of us live in the future, always planning what we are going to do. And, then there are those, who neither look behind or ahead, but just enjoy the moment of right now.

Which one are you and is it how you want to be?

I just bought a new laptop pre loaded with Office 2010 and aavailable as atrial without payment. I chose not to load it and instead loaded office 2007 for which I had a free licence available. I don't use office a lot, excel for invoices, word for letters etc and Access for credit and invoice control but everything 0ffice 07 does works great for me. I am however reading with interest as I believe in keeping up with the techno loggie.

2007 at the moment - and I agree that 2007 has been a step backwards.

Ooh thanks for the feedback all

I love Office 2010, although navigating around all the new formats did take some getting used to! Now I'm up to half speed I definitely prefer it.! I find that formatting is MUCH simpler now than it was

Have you thought of using Open office instead its a free download and opens documents that were written in Word.

I get MS Office for a massive £9 - so whilst that isn't free, I'm happy to pay it

Is it much different to MS Office BiP?

I've been using Open Office and now moved to the newer Libre Office. Fully compatible with MS. However son is using Office 2010-gets it at Uni, a says it is better than 2007. There is a good guide at the Makeuseof site.

Googled it and found Business Intelligence Portal, Business Intelligence Powerhouse, and Business Intelligence Publisher but have no idea if any of these is the answer
