Another tip try to avoid discussing your hourly rate, that should be in your mind for calculating the price of the job but that is all.
Where ever you can give your clients a price for the complete job, that way if you work hard you earn more. A man who works on an hourly rate has no incentive to graft and can end up costing your client more. I see a gardener come to my elderly next door neighbour spends most of his time talking, drinking tea etc, spinning out a 3 hour job into a full day.
Oh and keep good books that way if the tax man comes your better equipped to meet him.
