After seeing Snagders wonderful contraption to heat his green house, I have my own in my workshop! Not homemade like snadgers but it does the job. Its an old chimnea that my dad used but doesnt want anymore. It small but belts out the heat! I have covered the front door with Tiki Tape, the silver stuff you can use on Flues and such. It works a treat, all I need now is to make a small stove and away we go! "ALLOTMENT BROTH" (nicked that from snadger) lol

Nice one CS, just remember to be careful what you burn in an enclosed space. Some wood treatments can be naughty when burnt. Also so watch out fo CO its not just gas that can be poisonous.
Does look very snug though.

Cheers guys, does get nice and snug in there. I bet you could make suitable for in the house. Just needs to be an air tight seal around the door to stop smoke escaping and then your in business taff mate. Its just an old chimnea with the door sealed up to stop the smoke from bellowing out the front!" Thou shall not lay a hedge when the birds are nesting"

He doesn't have a front on and no smoke comes out the front and all goes up the flue.............just like an old fashioned coal fire!
I've sat up their many a time with the crackling flames just chewing the cud with him!Last edited by Snadger; 27-11-2011, 08:24 PM.My Majesty made for him a garden anew in order
