Edamame beans

Any one grown them, are they easy to grow? I have grown soya beans before and only got 1 bean per pod.

Edamame are soya beans: they're the immature beans, ie not fully ripe

I am growing them next year.....so will be interested to hear if anyone has had problems/success too.

Yes I would like to give them a try. Really tasty when steamed with sushi. The soya beans only produce 1 bean per pod, not a very good sucess rate. Anyone else grown them?

I'm surprised I'd have thought they'd have been red on the outside!
