Ice skating bad for you. Fact!
Tried an arabesque, showing off with a friend. That worked, so did another, which was my downfall. Literally.
I am no longer a fracture virgin, having broken the top of the radius (the bigger forearm bone) clean off. The accident was Saturday, but the medics at the rink said it wasn't broken and to go to A and E yesterday if I was worried. So, I took anti-inflammatories, wore a tubigrip and ice pack and carried on the evening with my friends. Still wasn;t happy with the swell pattern yesterday, hence the trip to hospital.
I have proven two things:
1) Northerners really are hard. Fancy spending an evening with friends with a broken arm!
2) Entomox (or wotever it's called) definitely blocks neuro-receptors right before consciousness is lost. Just. Manipulation is evil!!
I was planning to dig over my new plot, yesterday, but that can't hppen until Spring! My PhD is also on hold as far as lab goes, but I can type with the left hand so will work on my Intro to the thesis! I did have a lovely walk today, so not all bad, and afternoon nap with the kitties was divine!
Tomorrow's exciting adventure? Furtling to get up the last of the spuds which moved with me, so not ALL gardening is on hold!!
