  • Are your Neighbours as inconsiderate as mine..?

So its Easter Sunday, very warm and sunny, Windows are open, washing is out people in gardens doing jobs etc..

And one of my Neighbours has has a huge smokey Bonfire going since 10am this morning, they are burning hedge cuttings and brambles, which is all the garden is made up of that I can see.

Have had to come indoors, shut all windows, bring the cats in, put washing up indoors to dry.

Been sitting indoors for ages now waiting for her to stop Slashing and burning but as she does not have two brain cells to rub together this will take some time i guess.

Have attempted to get her to listen to me but she is just ignoring me, so armed with a few photos i will complain to the councils enviromnent officer when they get back after to Easter.

So for now I will sit here and steam with Fury.!!

    Hi Seasprout,

    You poor thing.

I'm very lucky with my neighbours, they are quite elderly so not much of a problem with bonfires and bar b ques etc, I feel for you.

          Hi Seasprout,
Sorry to hear your day has been spoiled like this - I know how you feel. Let's hope the sun shines again tomorrow and you can enjoy your garden without choking on bonfire smoke.

Sorry to hear you had a bad day. Isn't there some sort of old tradition that mondays are wash days and that bonfires shouldn't be lit on a monday? Save up your rubish for a day when the wind is in the right direction and her washing is out.

Bubblewrap's smilies are getting out of hand

Is there any topic that you (Bubblewrap) don't have a smilie for?

Howsabout - sucking a stick of rock. Bet you can't do that one.

How can you get a glass of red in the post? I know, call it a large one and when I've won 4 bets you owe me a bottle and can send me a Tesco voucher or similar. Deal?

                              Well played, BW!

Given that the 'sucking a stick of rock' could look a bit dodgy - IN FACT that's why you suggested it, isn't it JG?? The 'licking a lollipop' one looks good enough to me in the circs. What say you JG?
