All you folks who won't be working tomorrow, what are you going to be doing? Picketing? Gardening? Shopping? Chilling with a glass of white? Putting your feet up? What?

I shall be marching in support of teachers, nurses, midwives, firefighters and all the other public sector workers who we would be in a very sorry state without.I was feeling part of the scenery
I walked right out of the machinery
My heart going boom boom boom
"Hey" he said "Grab your things
I've come to take you home."

I am not in favour of this strike or any other for that matter.
But to any grapes who feel they must go and peacefully protest I say I hope the idiots bent on trouble stay away and that you return to the vine safely.

I want to strike (could do with the extra time down the lottie too! edit <- that's tongue in cheek) - but knowing where I work, despite it being said it won't count against you, it would defiantly be used as ammo against me in some form. Still undecided.Last edited by chris; 29-11-2011, 10:34 PM.

i think that everone who voted for strike action should picket ouside there place of work. The day of action is a protest to protect pensions and should not be used as a day off, unlike those people who have had to take a day off work to look after children.

^ Well that's the Tory aim isn't it? Make everyone so poor & desperate that they'll eagerly rip jobs off each other rather than stand together
Why are teachers striking?
Are MPs taking a pension cut too?
"Mr Cameron - who in opposition described MPs' final salary scheme as "very generous" - replied: "I agree with you that we are public sector workers as well and we should be subject to exactly the same changes we are asking others to take on.
Lord Hutton's review of public sector pensions did not include MPs' arrangements" my italicsLast edited by Two_Sheds; 30-11-2011, 08:22 AM.All gardeners know better than other gardeners." -- Chinese Proverb.

a standard of living still in the 1850's
children going up chimneys and working in factories.
