I have been sent an advert saying the magazine is out but have just popped to T..... and S..... and its not there. have I missed it? I wanted the spring onion seeds, thought I would get them in whilst the weather is still mild
Oh .......... went in there and not got it in, has it been out long, maybe it has sold out????? I do not seem to be able to get chilli seeds to grow so not going to try with them anymore. But never tried spring onions.
Are they difficult? I can get chilli to germinate and reach second leaf but then nothing so I give up. Have tried to grow chives from seed but nothing happened. I wonder if some people just can't grow some things?
Mr.postman brought mine, to much jubilation.
I had some cayenne so now I even more. The springs onions inspired a bond villain like laugh. Wouldn't have tried them otherwise. Freebie seeds are always a nice challenge. I had fun playing with the radishes that we had some time ago.
Chilies...they like warmth, don't they. I've always started them late, just through sheer laziness. The one year I did start them early, I let them live on the kitchen radiator, woe betide anyone who even sneezed at them before they had germinated. Then, just keep them warm, and pot on when the roots comes through. I have loads that I want to play with come January, but I don't Ma and pops will appreciate lots of little pots perched on the radiators. I had toyed with the idea of a heated propogator, but Ma goes around turning plugs off and I don't know if I really want one. I'd keep trying. This year my cayenne went red. I did a victory dance! So don't be put off ^_^
