I enjoy slade and wizzard but Band aids original do they know it's Christmas always makes me think about Christmas and its a wonderful song with all those legends singing their bit.

        Loving my allotment!

            How about 'Scarlet Ribbons'?
Yes it IS a Christmas song!
I also agree with Mothhawk, I just don't get the appeal of the nasty, miserable lyrics to FtoNY (I also agree the tune's not bad)!
Flowers come in too many colours to see the world in black-and-white.

I'm with Jules on the choice of "I Believe in Father Christmas" by Craig Lake - the last line "The Christmas we get - we deserve!" always gives me a shiver down the spine.
But last year, Snadge posted a link for "Oh Night Devine" sung by a group of angelically-voiced females - the name of whom escapes me. THAT reduced me to MUSH - so Snage, if you read this, do us a favour and repost the link!

Tis truly beautiful that one, and has some Lieutenant Kije by Prokofiev in it, really Christmassy. Thanks for the reminder Jules.

                            Quick lyric quiz (NO GOOGLING)

                            Rejoice,rejoice Christ is born
                            Of the Virgin Mary,Rejoice

Famously sung in the 70's but dating back to a medieval chant

The Phil spectre Christmas album! That brings back memories, undoubtedly a classic, not a bad track on there!
