selling craft stuff

Been thinking of selling some of my craft bits and bobs. The thing is that I dont know where I stand with hubbys benefits etc. The have said I cant do any regular work, but do you reckon I could make and seel craft stuff. I have to do something to help us financially and give me something constructive to do. How do i do this without getting into trouble?
