OK here is my pumpkin cake baked in a wreath shaped tin and dusted with icing sugar. We preferred it to traditional Christmas cake this year.

Phew - finally got feed back on the snow flake cake - lovely tasting as well as good looking. Although, it was mentioned the fruit was well 'laced' with brandy. Had to confess I'd been feeding the whole cake with brandy for twice a week for 3 weeks. Only stopped cos I discovered the amount my mum had given me was supposed to the total amount and not that volume x 9 lol.

I love the pearlised icing, very striking. And the snow time, it will come

snowflake lustre dust mixed with rejuvenator spirit and hand painted. And a general spray in pearl lustre spray over the whole cake. I like sparkly.

I know I am very late to this thread but here is a pic of my cake, which looks very simplistic compared to the beautiful cakes you have all made!

                      Happy new year!

SlugLobber- I have to mention that I couldn't find my box of Xmas cake decorations so copied your idea of bird footprints...leading to some crumbs of Jordans Original Crunch.
Everyone was very impressed by the simplicity of it and were praising your idea!!! Many thanks!

                            Well, I'm glad that's done.

I've an extremely full tummy - with the last of the cake gone. Phew, it was bugging me, staring at me everytime I went in the kitchen.
