Unfortunately, despite a lot of these companies having several small fortunes off me over the years, I can't reclaim any of it, as it would all go the Official Receiver, and then be paid straight back to the nasty, life-wrecking, b******ds.

My daughter spent a few months working for large bank working out whether repayments due and how much, get refund even if name is spelt incorrectly, she now has huge bank balance due to huge wages paid (if you don't get fired first) Don't go through external companies claiming to get refund for you ,they can charge 25% and any money refunded can be used to pay off loan if still existing,so you could end up out of pocket.

This may have been before the test case, which spawned all those ads on the TV for the 'Take a chunk' squad. I'd try again.

Have never had PPI, so no claim or windfall for me!

Just posted a claim off today. If successful will pay for our summer holiday. Wait and see now.
We did successfully get a rebate from the mis-selling of our endowment mortgage. We were refused point blank first and then the banks had their wrists slapped and out of the blue had a letter from the bank saying they were revisiting claims, had a form to fill in and finally were awarded around £7k, which shorten our mortgage by a couple of years. As a result I'm not prepared to accept the first refusal. Fingers crossed.

Just found out today that you can claim on Credit Cards up to ten years after the event.

Letter today from Northern Rock offering £1600. Should pay for the holiday nicely! Used form from Money Saving Expert. Not difficult or time consuming to fill in so definitely worth a go.

I had the same thing and got back the £6.5k I'd spent on endowment. They offered me £800 first off and I refused, claiming I would take them through the financial ombudsman. I waited six months and then had a letter after I chased them monthly, which I stepped up to weekly. I think they just got fed up. Last conversation went "the endowment is not forecasted to pay off the mortgage - yet this is what you sold it to me on the basis of". End of conversations and paid out all my endowment portion paid to them.

We got money back from the Endowment some years ago. Took two years of our now repayment mortgage.

We have also had letters even though we were already claiming. I hope you get something!
