Got down there today to find that someone had stolen the net curtains I had put over my brasicas to protect them from the birds and white fly. It didn't blow away, they left the purple net, obviousley didn't match there colour scheme. Whish I could set up a camera down there to find out who the thief is, theres always something going missing.

Leave a bottle of drink laced with senakot.
The river Trent is lovely, I know because I have walked on it for 18 years.

That reminds me of an ante-natal appointment many years ago when I was expecting my firstborn. We had to take a little wee sample with us (in your own bottle as the NHS didn't provide plastic sample bottles in those days) My friend had put her sample in a miniature whisky bottle and it was nicked out of her shopping basket while she was at the market. When she told the rest of us about what had happened we fell about laughing. Talk about sweet revenge on the thief.

That's terrible PP, you're not having much luck at the moment are you?! Can you not get the council to set up CCTV?

Shocking PottyPotter ! Imagine anyone making a thief of themselves for some old net curtains.

CCTV would be great but I can't imagine them paying for it, we don't even have toilets. I must admit Alice I did think they where new when my mother in law gave them me, she bought them from a car boot sale.

Commiserations PP. They probably didn't want the nets, just did it to annoy you. Kids?
BTW: you don't need toilets on a lottie...use a bucket, tip bucket on compost heap, great activator. Diluted down it's a good fertiliser too (use on flowers not veg tho) Having said that, make sure your bucket is sound...I once left my 'loo bucket' in the shed, didn't notice it had a little tiny crack in the bottom...was empty when I returned, ha ha ha

Being quite tall I can pee straight into the compost bin if the wind is favourable.

Logistics not to mention privacy dictate that I'd go for the 2 sheds method....IF I had a shed, of course.

Can you site your shed appropriately, JG?

Maybe you should join the Fire Brigade Johnty. Or the local P7 boys. I believe they go in for that kind of competition.

Got down the allotment today to find out that there had been three witnesses to my net theft. Our local foxes had draged them of to there den/nest. So at least they have gone to a good cause. Cancel the cctv
