But there are the quiet ones and those of us with a lot to say for ourselves!

give us quieter ones a chance to catch up... I just feel there are plenty of people with more experience than me.

Hi Shirley, its not all about experience. Some cracking ideas have come from inexperienced gardeners and none of us, no matter how knowledgeable have stopped learning. Everybodies contribution is valued and keeps a balanced forum.

One of the joys of this place, new people, new ideas and as PW says, never too old to learn.

I love going around peoples gardens and especially allotments or potagers as there are always new ideas or subtle differences in how people do things and its quite suprising how many are an improvement on what I do now.

This forum is like a giant vegetable garden with hints, tips and good friends around every corner. The generosity of members coupled with their goodwill is far above what would be expected in todays society and it gladdens my heart to see it.

Well said! If only there was more of this sort of community spirit in the towns and suburbs........

I wish more members would post. Even if they don't start new threads, please come in with posts on existing threads. We can all learn from each other, and a lot of the time it is good just to have a chat and a laugh with like minded people. Please everyone, don't just look - join in.

If there are 2000 members, imagine what the Sunday night chat would be like with them all on line - have to change it to Moderators Headache Night

Thinking about all these members; do people in their local areas meet up and share tips and plants etc.?

I think it would be great to meet up with other members!

Hello BayViewPlot, yes members do sometimes meet up with other grapes. It's up to you to look out for what is going on in your local area and arrange something - or build relationships through the vine and arrange something privately. Or just enjoy your gardening friends at a distance.

And new members - please do post, we can all learn from your questions.
Or maybe you know something we don't - so please tell us.
And Nicos - do you think it should be guys and gals ?????
And hope everybody had a wonderful Easter weekend.

From each according to his ability, to each according to his needs.

I have learned one thing here. I didn't know that a peastick could be used as a deadly weapon

Or even as a friendly weapon?

One advantage Grandpadragon, at least here you can print out the advice and file it - if you remember where you put the file.
