Dad had leg of lamb for his Christmas dinner, and gave me the bone with a lot of meat left on it for the dog. So, I've made a big pan of broth with it before giving it to the dog It's got onions, leeks, celery, swede, carrot, parsnip, cabbage, kale, beans and potatoes in it, as well as pearl barley and bits of meat.
Tis bloomin delish., and the leeks, swede, celery, parsnip, cabbage and kale were all fresh off the plot so should be really nutritious too

We did consider egg 'n' chips (real chips in the chip pan and the egg done in there after as well, mmmm poached in chip fat) but we had fishfinger butties which were brill. Then my daughter visited us with a turkey pie she'd made. Needless to say, it's going in the freezer for a couple of months!Granny on the Game in Sheffield
