I went right off eggs as a teenager, after we were made to dissect fertilised eggs at school. It took me a long long time before I'd eat fried eggs again. I'm OK now, but I do baulk at really pale-yolked eggs that some places serve. I'm now so used to the deep yellow yolks that my girlies lay.

SWMBOs the opposite, she cuts of the white of the egg and just eats the yolk.

Nah Snadge, showing off would have been to omit the egg and substitute tinned pineapple rings

Actually, the brown sauce was the combined result of a chutney that went wrong warmed and shoved in the blender with two jars of Tangier jam and some homemade ketchup. Did I mention the eggs were home-grown too? Pity we didn't grow spuds this year.......but no room now.

                            Chips; home-made or frozen?

I leave the jackets on my homemade chips. If I buy frozen, I love the chunky chips from Aldi.
