A sign of spring to me was that it was light enough to get half an hours weeding in after work!

In my garden yesterday I found a nasturtium still growing in a sheltered spot between a conifer and southerly facing wall.

One yellow crocus bud and one snowdrop bud in my front garden! I love it when the first flowers come up! It makes me feel so....optimistic.

Snowdrops and primroses here, as well as roses and geraniums still flowering despite the frosts.

2 daffodils in flower alongside geraniums in full blossom right through the winter. carlet runners in flower alongside primroses. Have the seasons gone mad. My rosemary is full of purple flowers and my peppers are growing away in the cold greenhouse>

First snowdrops open in the back garden, and a couple of primroses.

yep, snowdrops here too, and we just watched an almighty scrap between 3 blackbirds for possession of the front garden. The 2 females (who haven't been seen before) were really going for each other, claws & beaks: one got the other pinned down on her back for a few seconds and it was all over for her ~ she took off.

The male and winning female are now scrapping with each other

we have both signs of autumn still being here (my roses, pot marigold and geraniums are still in flower) and spring blooms (snowdrops everywhere). I must admit I quite like it
