Just noticed primroses in flower in the garden and a couple of lesser celandine flowers open in the rose beds. There are also some leaves of what I am hoping are the snowdrop bulbs I planted last year.

My potato foliage is 2ft tall, still intact, green & growing (it's in the unheated gh). I've got a wandering jew outside, that's usually one of the first things to die in the winter. All gardeners know better than other gardeners." -- Chinese Proverb.

Abutilon vitifolia just coming into flower again, roses out on a climber, and (which is really an autumn one) my Dahlia imperialis bearing lots of flower buds for the first time ever since I started growing it around five or six years ago. Just hope the frost stays at bay until the flowers get a chance to open.
